Job Summary
Our Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and oversee all financial operations and Business Office functions. This role is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, revenue cycle oversight, and internal controls while supervising Business Office staff and supporting cross-department operations. Healthcare experience is required. Experience in an ASC is preferred but not required. Strong people skills are essential — this role works closely with staff, physicians, payors, vendors, and leadership to ensure financial integrity and operational efficiency.
Duties
- Direct preparation of financial statements, tax filings, and regulatory reports
- Lead annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting
- Oversee revenue cycle management, contracts, and information systems
- Manage Business Office operations and supervise staff
- Ensure internal controls for cash receipts, disbursements, payroll, inventory, and fixed assets
- Oversee payroll processing and employee benefits administration
- Prepare management and Board reports (cash flow, case costing, budgeting, quality metrics)
- Monitor insurance programs (business, professional liability, umbrella, D&O, etc.)
- Oversee corporate contracts and organizational documents
- Analyze economic trends and recommend growth opportunities
- Collaborate with department leaders to improve operational efficiencies
- Maintain professional relationships with third-party payors, vendors, physician offices, and patients
Qualifications
- Degree in business administration or finance; CPA preferred but not required
- Healthcare experience required (ASC experience preferred but not required)
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, journal entries, general ledger management, and financial reporting
- Experience overseeing revenue cycle operations
- Demonstrated leadership and staff management skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $135,000.00 per year
