MSM Group, part of the international industrial holding CSG (Czechoslovak Group), is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer for its German operations (CFO MSM Germany).
MSM Group is a global industrial and defence manufacturing group operating across multiple countries, focused on ammunition production, engineering excellence, and continuous operational growth.
This position represents the senior financial leadership role for MSM Group’s business activities in Germany. While based at the key production site in Walsrode, the role carries full financial responsibility not only for the plant, but also for the broader German business agenda. The CFO will play a critical role in the stabilization, integration, governance alignment, and further development of MSM Group’s operations in Germany.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
As CFO MSM Germany, you will have end-to-end responsibility for the financial agenda in Germany, combining strong operational control with strategic leadership:
Financial Leadership & Governance
- Full responsibility for Finance, Accounting, Controlling and Tax for MSM Germany
- Leadership, development and further build-up of the local finance team
- Ensuring full compliance with:
- IFRS
- German GAAP (HGB)
- Group accounting and reporting standards
- Ownership of statutory reporting, audits and coordination with external tax and audit advisors
Plant & Operational Finance
- Full financial responsibility for the Walsrode manufacturing plant
- Strong partnership with production, operations and plant management
- Active involvement in:
- Business planning
- Budgeting & forecasting
- Cash-flow management
- Cost controlling and performance monitoring
- Acting as a financial sparring partner to operational leadership
Group & International Dimension
- Direct reporting to the Group CFO – MSM Group
- Close cooperation with MSM Services (Dubnica nad Váhom, Slovakia)
- Financial oversight and coordination of additional MSM Group activities in Germany
- Active participation in group-wide financial initiatives and transformation projects
Transformation & Systems
- Key role in the ongoing ERP transition from SAP to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Driving process standardization, transparency and financial discipline
- Supporting post-acquisition integration and stabilization of the German entity
YOUR PROFILE
- Proven senior experience as CFO / Finance Director / Senior Finance Manager
- Strong background in a manufacturing / industrial environment
- Chemical industry experience is a strong advantage
- Excellent knowledge of accounting, controlling and taxation
- Experience in an international group structure
- Hands-on, pragmatic mindset with the ability to operate both:
- Strategically (management, planning, decision-making)
- Operationally (day-to-day finance, plant support)
- Confident communicator, able to work effectively across functions, countries and cultures
- Willingness and ability to be regularly present on-site in Walsrode (min. 3 days/week)
