The Chief Finance Officer function has overall responsibility and management of the financial resources of the firm, including reporting directly to the governing body of the firm in relation to its financial affairs. Working closely alongside the CEO and COO, the CFO has overall responsibility for management of the firm's financial resources and the production and integrity of the firm's statutory and management financial information and all aspects of regulatory reporting in line with responsibilities of the Senior Managers Regime.
They will be a member of the Executive Committee, defining, leading and organising the budget process and working closely with the CEO to develop, design and deliver the Financial Business Plan. They are also responsible for managing the finance and accounting department on behalf of the Amundi Group UK entities.
Key responsibilities
* SMF 2 with the FCA and SAO with HMRC: accountable for the UK finance function and regulatory responsibilities.
* Lead budgeting, forecasting and the Financial Business Plan; act as strategic business partner to the executive team.
* Oversee month-end, management reporting and submission of accounts to Paris Head Office and Companies House.
* Manage FCA reporting (including ICARA / MIFIPRU 8), VAT, corporation tax and liaison with external auditors and tax advisors.
* Drive finance projects at UK level (corporate restructures, M&A, extraordinary transactions).
* Run operational finance: AP/AR, fixed assets, accounting system integrity and continuous process improvement.
* Cash & treasury management: cash planning, liquidity, FX mitigation and bank relationships.
* Custodial responsibilities for bank accounts and limited investments; monitor KRIs and internal controls.
* Line-manage and develop the finance team; ensure compliance with firm policies and FCA rules.
Essential experience & qualifications
* Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and strong technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP / IFRS).
* Senior finance leadership in asset management/financial services with demonstrable regulatory reporting experience (FCA/SM&CR).
* Proven track record in statutory & regulatory submissions, external audit, tax reporting (VAT, CT) and treasury/liquidity management.
* Experience managing AP/AR, finance operations and implementing robust controls and process documentation.
* Strong stakeholder skills with Board, Head Office (Paris), auditors, tax authority, banks and regulators.
Desirable
* CFA/CAIA/IMC, experience with fund/accounting systems, finance transformation, M&A and group transfer-pricing/tax schemes.
