Career Overview and Responsibilities
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as a key strategic business partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, providing financial leadership to support the company’s long‑term growth, profitability, and value creation. The CFO directs all finance, accounting, treasury, and related administrative functions, ensuring accurate reporting, effective controls, and strong relationships with the Board, lenders, auditors, and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities – Key
- Function as strategic financial advisor to the CEO, executive team, and Board, contributing to overall corporate strategy, operational plans, and capital allocation decisions.
- Assess and evaluate financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and long‑term objectives; provide insight and recommendations to support growth, margin improvement, and efficiency.
- Direct preparation and presentation of all financial statements and management reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual results, cash flow, budgets, and forecasts.
- Lead development of annual operating and capital budgets, multi‑year financial plans, and ongoing forecasting processes.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital; oversee banking relationships, investments, and capital raising activities as needed to support expansion.
- Serve as primary financial liaison to external auditors, tax advisors, lenders, analysts, and other financial partners, ensuring timely audits and compliance with all requirements.
Responsibilities – Supervisory
- Direct and oversee Accounting, Treasury, Finance, FP&A, Procurement, and related functions, including HR and Payroll.
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain high‑performing finance and accounting staff; set clear objectives, manage performance, and build an effective, collaborative team culture.
- Coordinate with other department heads to monitor financial and operational metrics, improve processes, and support data‑driven decision making.
- Drive evaluation of business initiatives, product launches, and new service offerings through financial modeling, scenario analysis, and return on investment assessments.
Responsibilities – General / Operational
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of all financial reporting, including compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory, tax, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain and enhance internal control systems, financial policies, and procedures; ensure appropriate risk management and compliance with relevant Washington State regulations, including the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and other compliance standards.
- Oversee month‑end and year‑end close processes, general ledger integrity, balance sheet reconciliations, and cost allocations.
- Lead selection, implementation, and optimization of financial systems, ERP, and reporting tools to improve efficiency, automation, and quality of information.
- Monitor financial and operating performance versus plans; analyze variances, identify improvement opportunities, and drive corrective actions.
- Prepare and deliver clear financial presentations and updates to the Board of Directors, executive team, and other stakeholders.
- Stay current on relevant regulations, accounting standards, and best practices; represent the company professionally with external stakeholders and regulators.

- Excellent financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and modeling capabilities.
- Deep technical knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting; familiarity with other requirements where applicable.
- High level of integrity, judgment, and decision‑making skills, with a strong commitment to ethical standards and confidentiality.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to both financial and non‑financial audiences, including the Board.
- Proficiency with ERP and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards) and advanced Excel and reporting tools.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience, Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA or Master’s in Finance/Accounting) preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred; other relevant certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.
- Significant progressive experience in finance and accounting, including substantial time in senior leadership roles (typically 10+ years).
- Prior experience as a CFO or senior financial executive in a complex, growth‑oriented organization preferred; experience with public company reporting or large private environments is beneficial.
- Demonstrated experience managing external audits, internal controls, compliance matters, and system implementations or upgrades.

Salary / Benefits
$170,000-$200,000. Salary Based on Experience
