About the Opportunity
We are a community bank seeking an experienced and forward thinking Chief Financial Officer to join our leadership team. This is a key executive role with the opportunity to help shape the financial strategy and long term growth of the bank.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with regular in office presence in Will County, Illinois, and occasional travel as needed.
What You Will Do
- Lead all financial operations including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and asset liability management
- Oversee regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with all banking regulations
- Partner with the CEO and executive team on strategic planning and decision making
- Manage financial risk, capital planning, and liquidity strategies
- Present financial reports and insights to the Board of Directors
- Oversee audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors and regulators
- Develop and mentor accounting and finance staff
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and internal controls
What We Are Looking For
- Five or more years of banking experience as a Controller or Chief Financial Officer
- Strong knowledge of community bank accounting, regulatory reporting, and financial management
- CPA preferred
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide and develop a team
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical abilities
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
