Overview
We are partnering with a publicly traded healthcare organization to identify a strategic and operationally focused Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with the Board of Directors, Audit Committee, and executive management team, the CFO will provide leadership across all aspects of finance, accounting, financial reporting, capital markets, investor relations, treasury, compliance, and strategic planning.
This executive will play a critical role in driving financial performance, supporting growth initiatives, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with all public company reporting requirements.
While healthcare industry experience is preferred, the organization is open to exceptional finance leaders from other industries who possess significant public company experience and a demonstrated track record of leadership in complex, multi-site organizations.

Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for the overall financial management of the organization, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, strategic capital allocation, and long-term value creation for shareholders.
The CFO will serve as a key business partner to the CEO and Board while leading all finance and accounting functions, including:
- SEC reporting and public company compliance
- Financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
- Accounting and controllership
- Treasury and cash management
- Investor relations
- Internal controls and SOX compliance
- Tax strategy and compliance
- Mergers, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives
- Capital markets and financing activities
- Enterprise risk management
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute the company's long-term strategic plan.
- Drive financial strategy to support growth, profitability, and shareholder value creation.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations regarding acquisitions, investments, capital deployment, and strategic initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Board of Directors and Audit Committee.
Financial Reporting & Public Company Compliance
- Oversee all SEC reporting activities, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements, and earnings releases.
- Ensure compliance with SEC regulations, GAAP, SOX requirements, and all applicable financial reporting standards.
- Maintain a strong internal control environment and lead external audit relationships.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent financial reporting.
Capital Markets & Investor Relations
- Lead communications with investors, analysts, lenders, and other external stakeholders.
- Participate in quarterly earnings calls, investor presentations, and roadshows.
- Develop and maintain relationships with the investment community.
- Support capital raising activities, debt financing, and strategic transactions.
Financial Operations
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning processes.
- Drive operational improvements and financial performance across the organization.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to support business objectives.
- Optimize working capital, liquidity management, and resource allocation.
Leadership & Team Development
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting organization.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, human resources, legal, compliance, and business unit leaders.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA designation strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
- Prior CFO, Divisional CFO, Deputy CFO, or senior finance executive experience.
- Significant experience within a publicly traded company environment.
- Deep knowledge of SEC reporting, SOX compliance, GAAP, and public company governance.
- Proven track record leading complex finance organizations and supporting executive-level decision making.
- Experience presenting to Boards of Directors, Audit Committees, investors, and lenders.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
Preferred
- Healthcare, healthcare services, provider services, life sciences, medical technology, or related industry experience.
- Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Capital markets, investor relations, and public equity market experience.
- MBA and/or advanced financial credentials.
