Job Summary
The
Deal Desk Analyst serves as the centralized intake point for pricing exceptions, promotion questions, and complex order scenarios across the national field organization. This role sits at the intersection of Sales, Finance, and Customer Service — translating field complexity into clean, consistent answers so PAC reps stay focused on selling DAXXIFY and the RHA Collection.
This is a high-visibility role in a commercial-stage biotech environment where speed, accuracy, and field trust are everything. You will be one of two analysts building this function from the ground up, with a direct line to Sales Operations leadership and a clear path to expand as volume grows.
- Reporting to: Sr Business Manager
- Location: Nashville, TN onsite/hybrid
Responsibilities/Essential Duties
- Exception Request Management
- Own end-to-end intake, triage, and resolution of pricing exception requests submitted by PAC reps
- Apply established playbooks and commercial guardrails to resolve 80-90% of requests without escalation
- Package exceptions requiring Finance approval with full context, deal rationale, and clean documentation
- Close the loop with the field — clear next steps, timelines, and outcomes communicated promptly
Promotion & Compliance Navigation
- Serve as the go-to resource for field questions on active promotions, eligibility rules, and program terms
- Ensure consistent interpretation and application of promotional programs across the national field
- Partner with Marketing and Finance to flag ambiguous scenarios and drive policy clarification
Order & Operational Support
- Support complex ordering scenarios that fall outside standard CRM workflows
- Coordinate with Customer Success to resolve order issues, returns, and billing discrepancies upstream
- Identify recurring friction points and escalate systemic issues to Sales Ops leadership for policy resolution
Reporting & Process Improvement
- Track ER volume, resolution times, and escalation rates — surface trends to leadership on a regular cadence
- Contribute to SLA compliance (target: 24-hour turnaround on standard requests)
- Support continuous improvement of the Deal Desk function as it scales beyond the initial 2-person team
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or a commercial support function — biotech or specialty pharma preferred
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM (OCE experience is a plus)
- Strong cross-functional instincts — comfortable working across Sales, Finance, and Customer Success simultaneously
- Exceptional attention to detail and a bias for clean, documented resolution over verbal workarounds
- Ability to operate with urgency without sacrificing accuracy — quarter-end volume spikes are real
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a field sales organization of 100+ reps
- Familiarity with commercial pricing frameworks, promotional program structures, or incentive compensation
- Prior exposure to exception management workflows, deal desk functions, or order operations
- Comfort building in ambiguity — this function is new and will require judgment, not just process-following
