Lutheran Sunset Ministries (LSM) is seeking a strategic and mission-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO serves as a trusted advisor to leadership and the Board, providing financial stewardship, reimbursement expertise, and strategic insight to support the long-term sustainability and mission of the organization.
This leader will guide financial strategy, oversee financial operations, and help navigate the evolving Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement landscape within a faith-based senior living environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership and partner with the CEO and executive team.
- Oversee financial operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and reporting.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with CMS and Texas Medicaid requirements.
- Translate financial and reimbursement data into insights that support leadership and Board decision-making.
- Support a high-performing finance team while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
- 7–10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
- Experience with Medicare Advantage or managed care reimbursement models preferred.
- Background in healthcare, nonprofit, senior living, or faith-based organizations preferred.
