Chief Financial Officer (CFO) | Long Island, NY
Mission-driven healthcare organization on Long Island seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team. This organization operates multiple community-based health centers and provides comprehensive primary and preventative care services to diverse patient populations.
The CFO will report directly to the CEO and play a critical role in guiding the organization’s financial strategy, operational performance, and long-term sustainability. This role will oversee core financial functions including accounting, financial planning and analysis, revenue cycle management, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting, while working closely with executive leadership and the Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership and partner with the CEO and executive team on organizational growth and financial performance
- Oversee all finance and accounting operations including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Lead revenue cycle operations and ensure appropriate reimbursement from Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and healthcare regulatory requirements
- Manage financial reporting obligations including cost reports, annual audits, and tax filings
- Develop and maintain strong financial processes, controls, and operational efficiencies
- Present financial performance, analysis, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and the Board
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team across finance and related operational functions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA and/or Master’s degree strongly preferred
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
- Experience in healthcare or federally funded healthcare environments strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and healthcare reimbursement structures
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy in complex organizations
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
