Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Healthcare - MUST HAVE HEALTHCARE

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy, planning, and operations of our healthcare organization. The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and will be responsible for overseeing financial management, budgeting, revenue cycle performance, and long-term financial planning. The ideal candidate will bring deep healthcare finance expertise and the ability to drive operational efficiency while supporting high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all financial operations, including accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Develop and execute the organization’s financial strategy to support growth, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability.
- Oversee revenue cycle management, including billing, collections, reimbursement, and payer relationships.
- Prepare and present financial reports, budgets, and strategic analyses to the CEO, executive leadership, and board of directors.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, reimbursement policies, and financial reporting standards.
- Manage cash flow, capital planning, and financing activities, including debt management and capital investments.
- Evaluate and improve financial performance across clinical service lines and operational departments.
- Lead financial modeling and due diligence related to expansions, partnerships, acquisitions, or new service lines.
- Establish and maintain internal controls, financial policies, and risk management frameworks.
- Oversee relationships with auditors, banks, regulatory agencies, and other external partners.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance and revenue cycle team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA, MHA, or CPA strongly preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, within healthcare organizations (hospital systems, physician groups, or healthcare services).
- Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement models, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
- Experience with revenue cycle operations and healthcare financial reporting.
- Demonstrated success leading financial strategy, budgeting, and capital planning in a complex organization.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic decision-making skills.
- Ability to partner with clinical and operational leadership to improve financial performance and patient outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a CFO or VP of Finance within a hospital system, multi-site physician group, or healthcare services organization.
- Experience with healthcare regulatory compliance and value-based care models.
- Familiarity with healthcare ERP and revenue cycle systems.
