A well-established financial institution in the Omaha area is seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the organization’s financial direction, guiding balance sheet strategy, and partnering closely with executive leadership and the Board of Directors to drive long-term stability and growth. What You’ll Do
- Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, helping define and execute financial strategy.
- Oversee core financial functions including accounting, finance operations, payments, and facilities.
- Provide executive-level financial insights through analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Lead asset-liability management (ALM), liquidity planning, and interest rate risk management.
- Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, growth opportunities, and long-term financial planning.
- Present financial results, trends, and recommendations to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Manage the organization’s investment portfolio and funding strategies while maintaining a strong balance sheet.
- Guide the annual budgeting and forecasting process and oversee regulatory and financial audits.
- Build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across multiple finance-related departments.
- Monitor industry trends and provide financial insight into strategic decisions, including potential partnerships or acquisitions.
What They’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- CPA strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in a CFO, VP of Finance, or Director of Finance role within banking or credit union environments.
- Deep understanding of balance sheet management, ALM, liquidity planning, and financial risk management.
- Strategic thinker with the confidence to make decisions and guide an organization forward.
- Strong leadership and team development experience.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with executive leadership and board members.
