We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic leadership and financial oversight for our client's organization in Martinsville, Virginia. This role will serve as a key partner to the executive team, contributing to the development and execution of strategies that align with the company’s long-term goals. The CFO will ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with executive leaders to establish and implement strategic initiatives that support organizational growth.
• Oversee financial reporting processes, including intercompany transactions and consolidations, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
• Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts and profit-and-loss projections to guide financial decision-making.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and present detailed financial plans to the Operational Board.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage benefit programs in partnership with HR, ensuring compliance and competitiveness of offerings.
• Supervise treasury operations, including cash pool processes, and maintain effective relationships with corporate offices.
• Coordinate with external tax professionals to ensure accurate filings and compliance with tax regulations.
• Facilitate annual audits, ensuring adherence to deadlines and reporting requirements.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across areas such as benefits, 401(k) plans, workers’ compensation, and financial reporting.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams, including accounting and IT staff.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and cost accounting principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and other financial software.
• Strong financial planning and analysis (FP& A) capabilities to effectively interpret and present data.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of ten years of accounting experience, ideally in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
• At least five years of executive-level leadership experience overseeing accounting, IT, and HR functions.
