Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Permanent Position
Our client is seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their leadership team in a permanent capacity. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the financial future of the organization, optimizing operational performance, and supporting business growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Model & Strategy
- Drive the strategic planning process, working closely with the executive team to develop and implement long-range business plans.
- Advise on mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, including due diligence, deal structuring, and post-integration activities.
- Guide working capital optimization and exit strategies as needed.
Capital & Financing Strategy
- Oversee capital planning efforts, including debt and equity financing initiatives and treasury management.
- Lead financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis to support business decision making.
- Provide guidance on IPO readiness, if applicable.
Financial Management & Reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate management reporting, technical accounting, consolidations, and financial statement preparation.
- Oversee data management and business analytics initiatives to drive actionable insights.
- Optimize shared services, cost accounting, and internal controls to maximize operational efficiency and profitability.
Operational Optimization
- Lead process improvement, finance transformation, and operational optimization projects.
- Support business through acquisition integration, divestiture planning, and cost/profitability management.
Regulatory & Compliance
- Manage all aspects of regulatory and statutory reporting, including external, internal, and IT audit support.
- Oversee Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, risk management, and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
Systems & Technology Modernization
- Align finance and business strategy with IT/technology initiatives.
- Support system implementations, process upgrades, and business integration, serving as a subject matter expert and project leader where necessary.
Leadership & Team Development
- Develop, lead, and mentor finance and accounting teams.
- Foster a results-driven, collaborative culture that delivers business value and supports talent development and succession planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s degree or CPA/CFA preferred.
- Significant experience as a CFO or senior finance executive, ideally within [client’s industry or sector].
- Strong track record of driving financial and operational performance, strategic planning, and change management.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting (SOX, SEC, IFRS/ASC, etc.), audit, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with modern ERP, EPM, and financial data analytics systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
