The Greater Toledo Community Foundation — northwest Ohio's largest philanthropic institution, with more than $580 million in assets and more than $40 million in community investments in 2025 — is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team.
Following a distinguished 28-year tenure, the Community Foundation's respected CFO is retiring, creating a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact role at a moment of strategic clarity and momentum.
The Role
Reporting to the President & CEO, the CFO serves as a key strategic advisor and fiduciary leader responsible for all financial operations — including investment management, risk and compliance, and endowment oversight across 1,000+ charitable funds. The CFO also supports donor relations and philanthropic strategy, and provides staff leadership to the Finance/Audit and Investment Committees of the Board of Trustees.
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will bring 10+ years of progressive finance leadership, proven CFO or senior financial executive experience, and deep expertise in institutional investment management and complex financial environments. MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred. Philanthropic experience is a plus.
