Overview
Our client is a rapidly growing private equity–backed industrial technology platform company. The organization delivers advanced measurement, monitoring, and control solutions used in highly regulated industries including environmental monitoring, energy, and industrial infrastructure. The platform is expanding through strategic acquisitions and organic growth, integrating established industrial businesses with emerging technology companies to build a scalable, data-driven organization. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic and operational CFO to partner with the CEO and private equity sponsors to build the financial infrastructure, drive performance, and support continued acquisitions as the company scales.
Position Overview
The Chief Financial Officer will serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, responsible for building and leading the company’s financial strategy, infrastructure, and performance management during a period of rapid growth.
This executive will combine private equity financial discipline with operational depth in industrial or technology-enabled manufacturing environments, helping scale the organization through acquisitions, systems integration, and data-driven decision making.
The CFO will also professionalize the finance function, strengthen reporting and controls, and develop a high-performing finance team capable of supporting a multi-entity growth platform.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance & Growth
- Partner with the CEO and investors to align financial strategy with the company’s growth agenda
- Drive enterprise value creation through disciplined capital allocation, forecasting, and performance management
- Support organic growth initiatives and strategic expansion
Mergers & Acquisitions
- Lead financial evaluation, due diligence, and valuation for acquisitions
- Build financial models and synergy analysis for investment decisions
- Oversee financial and systems integration of acquired businesses
Financial Operations & Reporting
- Build a scalable finance infrastructure including accounting, FP&A, reporting, and controls
- Deliver timely, accurate reporting to the CEO, Board, and investors
- Standardize processes across multiple operating entities
Systems, Data & Analytics
- Lead ERP and financial systems modernization (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Implement data-driven dashboards and analytics to improve forecasting and performance visibility
Treasury & Capital Management
- Manage banking and lender relationships
- Optimize working capital and cash flow across business units
- Ensure capital availability to support growth and acquisitions
Risk & Compliance
- Maintain strong internal controls and regulatory compliance
- Oversee audit readiness and financial governance across the organization
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a finance team of approximately 8–10 professionals across accounting, FP&A, treasury, and reporting
- Build a scalable organization capable of supporting rapid growth and integration

Candidate Profile
Experience
- Senior finance leadership experience (CFO, VP Finance, or equivalent)
- Background in industrial technology, manufacturing, engineered products, or instrumentation
- Experience in private equity–backed companies
- Proven success supporting M&A and integration in multi-entity environments
- Strong expertise in cost accounting, plant finance, and operational finance
- Experience implementing or scaling ERP systems and financial technology
- Track record of partnering with CEOs, Boards, and investors
