Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
We are a privately-owned, multi-entity group of companies operating across North America, with over 100 years of history and a strong presence in multiple verticals, including our most recognized brand, Abell Pest Control.
We are seeking a dedicated Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team and help lead the organization through its next phase of growth.
This is a hybrid role which is based in Etobicoke, Ontario (by Pearson Airport).
The Role
The CFO will be responsible for the overall financial leadership of the organization. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on oversight of financial operations, ensuring the business is well-positioned for sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance
- Partner with the CEO and executive team on business strategy and long-term planning
- Lead financial modeling, scenario analysis, and capital planning
- Provide clear, actionable insights to support decision-making
Financial Operations
- Oversee all core finance functions including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting
- Implement scalable systems, processes, and internal controls
Risk & Compliance
- Lead risk management, audit, tax, and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions
- Maintain strong governance and internal control frameworks
Capital Management
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and capital structure
- Support M&A activity, including evaluation and execution
- Allocate resources to support growth and operational priorities
Leadership
- Lead and develop the finance team across accounting, AP, AR, payroll, and related functions
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships across the organization
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in senior finance leadership roles
- Experience in mid-to-large, multi-entity or multi-location organizations
- Strong background in FP&A, operations, and risk management
- Track record of scaling financial systems and teams
- Experience with ERP systems and financial analytics tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA and CPA preferred)
