Seeking a Business Application Developer to support, configure, maintain, and enhance a Governance Risk Compliance (GRC) application (AssurX). Role includes product support, configuration changes, patching, functional analysis, testing, documentation, and end-user enablement. Works closely with IT/OT teams, Compliance, and business stakeholders to deliver fully implemented solutions following structured SDLC and Change Management practices.
- Provide expertise for GRC applications, including AssurX, system workflows, configuration, and functional behavior.
- Deliver application support, maintenance, configuration updates, patching, and enhancements.
- Develop programmatic solutions, perform unit testing, and execute test plans with documented results.
- Conduct application analysis, troubleshoot issues, identify root cause, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with business users and Compliance to define and document functional requirements and reporting needs.
- Lead small project efforts, provide work guidance, and coordinate deliverables.
- Investigate workflow processing to ensure accuracy, system integrity, and proper configuration.
- Manage relationships with end users and key stakeholders to support usage of AssurX and recommend improvements.
- Identify system improvements, evaluate new product features, and recommend optimized usage of core application functionality.
- Define and document system scope, logical views, requirements, and design using structured analysis methods.
- Create and maintain system documentation, including issue logs, process changes, new procedures, and training materials.
- Develop and validate integration approaches to third-party systems (real-time and batch).
- Support UAT, integration testing, and production validation activities.
- Participate in vendor upgrades, patching cycles, application testing, and production deployments.
- Follow triage, SDLC, Change Management, and release processes for promoting new or revised application components.
- Work with software vendors to report, track, and resolve product issues.
- Hands-on experience with GRC applications, AssurX, or similar enterprise platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Project Management and diagramming tools: Microsoft Project, Visio.
- Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) (preferred).
- Strong background in data analysis, data mining, and quality assessment.
- Ability to create structured test scenarios, test cases, and produce accurate test documentation.
- Understanding of Quality Assurance methodologies.
- Ability to manage small projects and provide leadership to team members.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to learn new enterprise applications quickly and develop full competency with assigned platforms.
- Ability to work in a team environment, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and present to technical/non-technical audiences.
- Minimum 2 years developing or supporting application solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or Cybersecurity.
- May substitute 4 years of relevant experience in place of a degree
