I’m the founder of Peptidology, and I’m hiring for a role that is really important to me.
We’re a small but fast-growing company in the research chemical field. We work with contract manufacturers and outside partners, and we care a lot about quality, customer trust, responsiveness, and doing things the right way.
This is a business where details matter.
Follow-through matters.
Sloppy execution creates real problems.
Right now, too much of the business still runs through me.
I’m involved in vendor coordination, package and payment follow-up, customer escalations, fixing breakdowns, tracking open issues, and keeping a lot of moving pieces together.
I need someone strong who can step in and help me run the company better.
What this role is
This is not a cushy management job.
It’s a hands-on role for someone who likes solving problems, cleaning up messes, building better systems, and
taking real ownership.
I care less about polish and more about ownership.
I want someone who:
- follows through
- works hard
- thinks for themselves
- communicates clearly
- handles pressure well
- notices problems early
- solves issues instead of just reporting them
You do not need to be flashy.
You do need to be solid.
What you’ll own
- Vendor coordination and follow-through
- Communication with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers
- Tracking operational progress across shipments, payments, issue logs, and open tasks
- Helping keep quality-sensitive processes and documentation organized and visible
- Taking point on messy situations and driving them to resolution
- Improving how we handle escalated customer issues and operational misses
- Building better SOPs, trackers, and accountability systems
- Identifying recurring breakdowns and fixing the root cause
- Helping me get out of the weeds so I can focus more on growth and strategy
What success looks like
In the first 90 days, I’d want this person to:
- take real day-to-day load off my plate
- improve visibility into what is open, urgent, late, or broken
- reduce dropped balls and reactive fire drills
- tighten vendor follow-up and operational coordination
- improve how escalated issues get handled
- start putting better systems in place
This role is probably a fit if you:
- like bringing order to chaos
- are comfortable juggling a lot at once
- have strong judgment and common sense
- like being the person people can count on
- are willing to do both strategic and unglamorous work
- want real responsibility in a growing company
- can operate in a detail-sensitive environment where quality, timing, documentation, and accuracy all matter
This role is probably not a fit if you:
- need constant direction
- want a low-intensity job
- prefer talking strategy more than executing
- dislike follow-up and accountability
- get overwhelmed easily when several issues are moving at once
Background that would help
- 4+ years in operations, project management, customer operations, founder support, ecommerce operations, supply chain coordination, or a similar role
- Experience in a small business, startup, or entrepreneurial environment
- Strong track record of independently managing priorities and getting things done
- Experience working with vendors, contract manufacturers, logistics providers, or other outside partners
- Experience in a quality-sensitive, documentation-heavy, or regulated-adjacent environment is a strong plus
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Strong judgment, attention to detail, and ability to move fast without getting careless
Compensation
$90,000–$110,000 base salary DOE + bonus structure (up to 20% of base)
401(k) with company match
HSA / FSA options
100% employer-paid medical, dental and vision coverage for you
2 weeks PTO + company holidays
Paid volunteer day
Employee discounts
How to apply
Send your resume and a short note.
In that note, tell me:
- a messy situation you stepped into
- what was broken
- what you changed
- what happened after
I’m not looking for someone to fill a seat.
I’m looking for someone who wants to help build a serious company and is ready to carry real weight.
