The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as the senior executive responsible for the financial strategy, oversight, and sustainability of North Sunflower Medical Center (NSMC). The CFO provides leadership and direction for all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, revenue cycle, reimbursement, compliance, and financial reporting. The CFO ensures fiscal integrity, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the hospital’s mission, particularly within a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) and Rural Health Clinic (RHC) environment.
- Develop and implement financial strategies
- Oversee financial reporting and compliance
- Lead revenue cycle operations
- Manage budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure regulatory compliance and internal controls
- Provide leadership to financial departments
- Collaborate with executive leadership
- Present financials to Board of Directors
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors required; Master’s preferred
- Experience: Minimum 5 years hospital financial leadership
- CPA preferred
