A confidential search is underway for a CFO on behalf of one of the fastest-growing industrial equipment manufacturers and engineering solutions providers — a multi-site, multi-state, multi-entity enterprise serving industrial and commercial markets. Role Overview
The CFO shapes the long-term financial direction of the enterprise, actively contributing to strategy and vision alongside ownership. Day-to-day, this leader directs all finance and accounting functions through a shared services model, leads a team of 10+ accounting managers and staff, and continues developing the corporate structure as the company scales. Reports directly to the owners at the Lafayette corporate office.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
- Serve as strategic visionary — driving direction, growth planning, and financial positioning alongside ownership
- Communicate proactively with owners on strategy, vision, and performance; serve as a key voice in executive decisions
- Lead budgetary planning, cost management, and identify tax incentives and cost-savings opportunities across all entities
- Further develop and formalize the corporate structure to support continued expansion
Financial Operations
- Full P&L responsibility across all entities
- Oversee financing strategies, banking relationships, capital structure, and cash management
- Manage GL reconciliation, monthly close, financial statement review, and serve as final escalation for accounting issues
- Manage cash, investments, real estate affairs, and asset portfolios
Compliance & External Relations
- Serve as primary liaison to lenders, banks, CPA firms, external auditors, and tax advisors
- Review contracts, MSAs, and policies; evaluate and manage benefit plans and insurance programs
Systems, Technology & Team
- Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting team
- Drive systems integration and modernization, including adoption of emerging technologies into company operations
- Evaluate ERP and financial platform fit as the business grows
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary $100,000–$150,000+, commensurate with experience
- Profit-Sharing Plan based on annual EBITDA
- Car allowance or company vehicle with gas/expense card

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; CPA a strong plus
- Minimum 5 years as CFO of a mid-sized company or Controller of a large company; multi-entity/multi-site experience required
- Background in industrial manufacturing, equipment, or engineering services — required
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale financial infrastructure in a high-growth environment
- Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, cash management, budgeting, and tax strategy
- Experience with banking relationships, external audits, and multi-entity consolidations
- Proficiency in Excel, accounting software, and ERP systems; systems integration or emerging technology experience a plus
- Strong leadership, communication, and executive presence — able to present clearly and compellingly to ownership
