Our client is a leading middle market, private equity owned manufacturing company with multiple locations, HQ in the Chicago area. The company is in a strong financial position and in the early stages of what will be a period of meaningful growth, driven by both by more aggressive and target organic growth strategies and strategic add-on acquisitions. This CFO role will be critical to further developing and executing this growth strategy while further building out a world class finance and accounting team and function.
Must have Qualifications:
- Currently reside in the Chicago area and work on-site 4 days a week
- Has worked in a senior level financial leadership role in a$100 - 500M annual revenue business that experiences meaningful growth.
- Operationally oriented Finance leader with significant manufacturing experience.
- A proven track record of building great teams with low turnover
- Passion for strategy development as well as team building.
- Well-versed in M&A including due diligence and integration.
- Comfortable with the nuances of manufacturing internationally and serving a global customer base.
- A track record of elevating all things people, process and systems within a small, lead finance / accounting function that is rapidly growing and evolving.
- Strong foundational accounting experience; a CPA is strongly preferred
- Experience operating effectively at the highest levels of strategy development, board interaction, and top-to-top relationships with customers and third-party partners. Simultaneously, they must also enjoy the "rolling up your sleeves" / "getting your hands dirty" nature of a business as is more typical of a company at this size.
