Mobile Concepts Specialty Vehicles designs and manufactures trolleys, custom trailers and performs Sprinter van up-fits for a wide range of specialty applications. We are a growing manufacturing company located in Mt. Pleasant, PA, and looking for an experienced Sales Director.
The Director of Sales is a critical front line sales management manager responsible for driving sales performance and leading the operations of a custom manufacturing team and operations. Reporting directly to the owners, this position will lead to, motivate, and develop a team of sales professionals and operations personnel to attain customer orders through product customization and delivery.
Desired Skills, Experience and Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Planning
- Drive sales by connecting with historic, current and prospective customers alongside the existing sales team.
- Drive sales performance across commercial vehicle product lines.
- Conducts thorough market analysis and becomes an industry expert.
- Attain an intimate knowledge of the competition, their sales strategies and competitive pricing levels.
- Respond to RFQs and Government Service Agreement (GSA) inquiries in concert with all business functions.
- Maintain close coordination between customer needs, customer change orders, pricing, margins, production, presentation and delivery.
- Participate in product demonstrations, ad-hoc customer walk-arounds, and on-the-job demonstrations.
- Track sales activities, customer interactions, and progress using CRM software and other designated tools.
- Prepare accurate and timely sales reports and forecasts.
- Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and growth.
Team Leadership and Development
- Foster a collaborative and motivating work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and continuous improvement.
- Provide front line guidance, motivation, and support to the sales team in strategy, negotiation, and closing complex deals.
- Conduct performance evaluations, monthly 1:1 coaching, and provide constructive feedback to drive individual growth and team development.
Customer Relationship Management
- Cultivate strong relationships with key customers and partners within the region and industry, ensuring the voice of customer is reflected in company decisions.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand the company's network and enhance brand visibility.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of proven experience and progress in sales leadership roles.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- Government Services Administration (GSA) experience
- Experience within the commercial / customized vehicle industry or another related industry.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to understand the front-to-back process of customer specifications, internal CAD files, operational / build capabilities, production presentation and delivery.

Pay: $71,028.14 - $125,000.00 per year
