Who are we hiring?
The Manager Business Operations will be responsible for assisting with the evaluation of a broad range of strategic, operating and financial initiatives across MSG Sports. This role will work closely with Sports Team Business Operations leadership to identify new business opportunities, improve efficiencies in existing operations, and conduct data-driven analysis to grow MSG Sports. This role will be part of a team that will assist with the various projects and analyses.
What will you do?
- Work with MSG Sports executives across marketing, ticketing, and retail to evaluate new business opportunities and enhance existing operations
- Provide initial analysis of various Sports opportunities / improvements including digital, merchandise, retail, ticketing and event presentation. Create business cases to support these opportunities
- Assist with the cross-functional project management to implement new business initiatives
- Help create financial models to support new business initiatives
- Assist with structuring and analyzing growth opportunities for new and existing businesses
- Lead research initiatives across the company
- Create presentations for senior management to facilitate strategic discussions and decision-making
- Support on certain high-visibility League-related issues
What do you need to succeed?
- 3-6 years of relevant business experience.
- MBA is desirable.
- Strong problem solver who can make clear decisions while under pressure and/or tight deadlines
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment where results are achieved through influence and the incorporation of many points of view.
- Ability to utilize/manage resources in a matrixed organization.
- Must possess: a high level of initiative, excellent analytical and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with senior management and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Holds a demonstrated ability to lead and support strategic and operational initiatives
- Organized, detail-oriented, strategic, and process driven
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and compile large bands of data and present effective reports and insights
