LHH is assisting our Indy-based construction/manufacturing client in their search for hands‑on, strategic CFO / President to partner with ownership and lead the organization forward. This role is ideal for a financially driven executive who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and has experience scaling manufacturing operations using EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System). The Chief Financial Officer / President will serve as the company’s senior financial and operational leader, responsible for financial strategy, operational execution, and organizational leadership. This executive will help professionalize and scale the business while ensuring financial discipline, healthy cash flow, and sustainable profitability. Reporting to CEO and Owner, the CFO/President will be a key architect of long‑term strategy, near‑term execution, and leadership team development.
Job Description
- Own all aspects of financial management including financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, banking relationships, and reporting
- Ensure accurate, timely financial statements and actionable KPIs
- Drive margin improvement through pricing analysis, cost controls, and operational efficiencies
- Support capital planning, debt management, and investment decisions
- Serve as day‑to‑day business leader overseeing manufacturing operations, supply chain, and administrative functions
- Translate strategic goals into executable operating plans
- Lead initiatives to scale production, systems, and processes to support growth
- Partner with ownership on long‑term strategy, growth initiatives, and risk management
- Actively operate within an EOS framework, including Rocks, scorecards, Level 10 meetings, and accountability structures
- Ensure financial clarity supports EOS rhythms and decision‑making
Requirements
- Background in privately held or founder‑led companies
- CPA, MBA, or equivalent experience preferred but not required
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial leader in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated success scaling a business (ideally $10M–$50M revenue range)
- Strong working knowledge of manufacturing costing, inventory, and margin management
- Hands‑on experience operating in an EOS‑run organization
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to engage both the shop floor and ownership
