About the Role
We’re looking for a seasoned sales professional who knows how to build, lead, and scale a high-performing sales operation. This is an in-office role responsible for leading the internal sales support team while working closely with external sales representatives across the country.
The ideal candidate understands the full sales cycle, can develop strong internal support systems, and has a proven ability to train teams, overcome objections, and consistently drive results.
Experience in automotive sales, particularly Finance & Insurance (F&I), is highly valued but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, structure, and lead a high-performing internal sales support team
- Act as the primary point of coordination between internal staff and external sales reps nationwide
- Recruit, train, and develop team members, setting clear expectations and accountability
- Coach staff on objection handling, closing techniques, and deal support strategies
- Develop and implement effective sales processes and support systems to assist outside reps
- Support external sales reps by strengthening internal processes, communication, and deal flow
- Step in to assist with complex deals and negotiations when needed
- Monitor KPIs, track performance, and continuously improve team effectiveness
- Create scripts, training materials, and processes to drive consistency and results
- Foster a motivated, accountable, and team-oriented sales culture
Qualifications
- 5+ years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Proven ability to build and manage internal sales or support teams
- Experience working with or supporting external/outside sales reps is strongly preferred
- Strong background in training, coaching, and objection handling
- Demonstrated success in closing deals and driving revenue growth
- Experience creating or improving sales processes and systems
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Highly driven, detail-oriented, and results-focused
