Our client, a growing B2B services company in the Chicago area, is seeking a Senior Manager, Sales Operations & Strategic Initiatives. This role reports directly to the CEO and will work closely with commercial leadership to bring greater structure, discipline, and execution to the organization.
This is not a frontline sales role. The position centers on sales operations, forecasting, reporting, CRM effectiveness, and strategic project follow-through.
Primary responsibilities:
- Strengthen pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and sales cadence
- Improve CRM adoption, data quality, and reporting discipline
- Build dashboards, KPIs, and clearer visibility into commercial performance
- Drive follow-up, accountability, and execution on key initiatives
- Support the CEO on high-priority strategic projects
- Help create greater consistency and operating rigor across the commercial function
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
- 5 to 10+ years of experience in sales operations, revenue operations, commercial analytics, business operations, or a related function
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with CRM platforms
- Experience with forecasting, pipeline reporting, KPI development, and dashboard creation
- Ability to work across sales, leadership, and other internal stakeholders
- Strong project management skills and follow-through
- Executive presence, sound judgment, and strong communication skills
- Hands-on approach, high accountability, and comfort working in a growing environment
