Job Summary:
One of our clients are looking for Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who is responsible for leading the company’s financial strategy, governance, and performance management. This role oversees all financial functions, ensures compliance with regulatory and listing requirements, and provides strategic financial leadership to support sustainable growth. The position requires prior experience in listed companies, preferably within the Oil & Gas or related industrial sectors, as previously emphasized by senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, providing financial insights to support decision-making.
- Lead long-term financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation.
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, treasury, taxation, and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements applicable to listed companies.
- Manage quarterly and annual reporting, disclosures, and coordination with external auditors.
Governance, Compliance & Risk
- Ensure full compliance with stock exchange regulations, corporate governance standards, and statutory requirements.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls, risk management frameworks, and financial policies.
- Liaise with regulators, auditors, banks, investors, and other external stakeholders.
Capital Markets & Investor Relations
- Manage relationships with shareholders, analysts, and financial institutions.
- Support capital raising activities, debt structuring, and funding strategies.
- Oversee investor communications, financial presentations, and market disclosures.
Sector-Specific Oversight (Oil & Gas – Preferred)
- Provide financial oversight for large-scale projects, CAPEX planning, and cost control initiatives.
- Evaluate project profitability, joint ventures, and long-term contracts common in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Monitor commodity price exposure, hedging strategies, and operational financial risks.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement within the finance function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (required).
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Proven experience as CFO, Finance Director, or Head of Finance within listed companies.
- Prior experience in Oil & Gas or related industrial sectors is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, corporate governance, and capital markets.
