A little about the position:
Job Summary
The VP of Sales Operations is responsible for optimizing the sales organization’s effectiveness, efficiency, and overall performance. This includes leadership of the Inside Sales teams, development of the CRM enablement infrastructure, and sales effectiveness initiatives at scale. This role will lead implementing best practices to maximize productivity and ensuring seamless coordination between sales and customer service functions.
In addition, this role actively cultivates strong partnerships with sales leadership, sales strategy and cross-functional stakeholders to achieve sales team alignment, ensuring that objectives and strategies are consistently trained, communicated and executed across the organization.
This role measures the sales team and looks for best practices for like groups that are then replicated to ensure the team is improving every day, with such metrics as growth, calls to close and funnel management.
This role also oversees sales training initiatives to ensure the team is equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary for success and drives continuous improvement in sales effectiveness through strategic process enhancements
Some of What You Will Do:
Sales Effectiveness and Efficiency:
- Drive continuous improvement in sales productivity, effectiveness, and execution through standardized processes, tools, and performance management through data analysis.
- Establish and monitor core sales KPIs, dashboards, and operating rhythms to ensure visibility, accountability, and results.
- Partner with Sales leadership to translate commercial strategy into actionable operating plans and execution frameworks.
Sales Operations & Infrastructure
- Own end-to-end sales operations, including CRM design, strategy and governance, pipeline management, forecasting, territory and account planning, and reporting.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and adoption across all sales systems to support decision making and scalability.
- Lead process design and optimization across inside sales, field sales, and sales support functions.
Sales Training & Enablement
- Own the strategy, design, and execution of sales training and enablement across all sales roles, including onboarding, ongoing skill development, product knowledge, and sales methodology.
- Ensure training programs are aligned with go to market strategy, customer segments, and product priorities.
- Partner with Sales and Sales Strategy leaders to identify capability gaps and deploy targeted training solutions that improve performance.
- Drive adoption of best practices, tools, and playbooks across inside and field sales teams.
Inside Sales Leadership
- Provide strategic and people leadership for the Inside Sales organization, including structure, role clarity, performance management, and scalability.
- Set performance expectations, targets, and productivity standards for inside sales teams aligned to overall sales and growth objectives.
- Ensure strong coordination between Inside Sales, Field Sales, and Customer Service to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Continuously assess and optimize the inside sales model to improve efficiency, conversion, and customer engagement.
- Collaborate with customer service teams to enhance the customer experience, resolve issues efficiently, and maintain high satisfaction levels.
Sales Team Alignment and Partnership:
- Establish and nurture collaborative relationships with sales leadership and other business units to align goals, share feedback, and harmonize processes.
- Champion initiatives that promote transparent communication and a unified approach to achieving sales targets.
What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications)
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and hands-on leader with a proven track record in sales operations, training, and customer-centric process improvement. Strong collaboration, communication, analytical, and project management skills are essential for success in this role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of ten years of experience in sales operations, sales management, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in sales training and process improvement initiatives.
- Strong proficiency with CRM platforms and sales analytics tools.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage change within a sales environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.

Location: Flexible, the location for this role is flexible with travel expected as needed
Status: Full-time
Salary Range: $200,000-$275,000
Bonus: MIB Tier 1, 36% of base pay
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across US geographic markets. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
