Our client is a late-stage clinical biopharma company with an exciting drug focused on an area previously classed as an unmet medical need. To support the establishment in driving commercial excellence across the German organization they are looking to hire an experienced:
Director Business Operations & Strategy, Germany (Ref. Nr. 2728) - permanent role, based in Munich
This position will play a critical role in driving commercial excellence across the German organization. Responsible for sales force strategy, performance, and execution through data-driven insights. You will partner closely with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Medical, Finance, and Global Commercial teams to ensure field teams are aligned, productive, and equipped to deliver launch and growth objectives.
Your main tasks
- Lead sales force strategy & optimization: sizing, structure, and territory alignment in line with strategic and market needs.
- Develop and oversee targeting, segmentation, and call-planning strategies.
- Create dashboards, KPIs, and performance reports and derive actionable insights from field and sales data.
- Lead the design, implementation and administration of incentive compensation plans in close collaboration with Finance & HR.
- Support CRM optimization and adoption, ensuring high-quality execution in the field.
- Drive initiatives to improve sales force productivity, capability and execution quality
- Align local sales force effectiveness initiatives with global commercial excellence standards
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Several years of experience in Sales Force Effectiveness, Commercial Excellence, or analytics roles within pharma or biotech in a German subsidiary.
- Strong expertise in incentive compensation, field analytics, and CRM systems (e.g., Veeva).
- Proven ability to interpret data and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
- Experience working cross‑functionally in a matrix environment; launch experience in specialty or rare diseases is a strong advantage.
- Fluent English required; German language skills strongly preferred.
