DataBank Holdings Ltd. is a leading provider of enterprise-class data center, cloud, and interconnection services, offering customers 100% uptime availability of data, applications, and infrastructure. DataBank’s managed data center services are anchored in world-class facilities. Our customized technology solutions are designed to help customers effectively manage risk, improve their technology performance, and allow them to focus on their core business objectives. DataBank is headquartered in the historic former Federal Reserve Bank Building, in downtown Dallas, TX.
DataBank is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. Our work culture at DataBank does not discriminate based on actual or perceived race, creed, color, religion, alienage or national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, disability or handicap, sex, marital status, veterans' status, gender, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
DataBank is implementing an enterprise CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) platform, and we are looking for a Senior CPQ Architect to own the platform fully and permanently. This is not a project role. This is a platform-ownership role that blends the depth of a solutions architect with the business fluency of a product strategist.
You will lead the end-to-end implementation of DealHub, define how our colocation and managed services products are modeled and packaged within the CPQ, design guided selling experiences for our Sales teams, and build the integrations that tie DealHub to our CRM, billing, and operational systems. Once live, you own the roadmap, the platform health, and its continuous evolution.
The ideal candidate is someone who has done this before, a CPQ professional who has led real implementations from discovery through go-live, understands complex B2B product catalogs and pricing logic, and can hold their own equally in a business requirements session and a system architecture conversation. Data center or infrastructure industry experience is a meaningful differentiator.
You will report to the Senior Director of PMO and sit within the Technology organization.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Ownership & Implementation
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of DealHub CPQ from requirements gathering and solution design through configuration, UAT, and go-live.
- Own the DealHub platform post-launch: manage the product roadmap, drive continuous improvement, and serve as the primary system administrator and subject matter expert.
- Configure product catalogs, bundles, and option constraints that accurately model DataBank's colocation, connectivity, and managed services offerings.
- Architect and implement complex pricing logic including location-based rules, volume and quantity tiers, configuration-dependent pricing, discount schedules, and approval workflows.
- Design and deploy guided selling playbooks that help Sales teams build accurate, compliant quotes efficiently.
Integrations & Technical Architecture
- Design and oversee implementation of integrations and dataflows between DealHub and CRM (Salesforce), billing, ERP, and operational systems using APIs and middleware.
- Ensure data integrity and workflow continuity across the full Quote-to-Cash (QTC) cycle, from opportunity creation through order fulfillment and revenue recognition.
- Develop and maintain reporting and analytics on CPQ performance, pipeline velocity, and pricing effectiveness using Sigma Computing.
Business Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the bridge between Sales, Sales Operations, Sales Engineering, Billing, Finance, Product, and Service Delivery translating business needs into CPQ solutions.
- Proactively identify inefficiencies in the quote-to-cash process and drive optimization initiatives without waiting to be directed.
- Lead user training, produce documentation, and support change management to drive CPQ adoption across the organization.
- Participate in cross-functional product packaging discussions, bringing CPQ feasibility and configuration expertise to the conversation.
Leadership & Standards
- Stay current with DealHub releases and CPQ industry trends; proactively recommend adoption of new capabilities that create business value.
- Mentor internal team members on CPQ concepts, configuration best practices, and platform capabilities as DataBank's CPQ practice matures.
- Operate with a bias for action, extreme ownership, and clear communication escalating issues early and resolving them decisively.
Required Qualifications
CPQ Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on CPQ experience across implementation, configuration, and ongoing platform management.
- At least 1–2 full CPQ implementation lifecycles completed end-to-end (discovery ? design ? build ? UAT ? go-live), with demonstrable ownership of the outcome.
- Proven expertise configuring product catalogs, bundles, option constraints, and guided selling flows within a major CPQ platform (DealHub strongly preferred; Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ, Apttus/Conga, or equivalent considered).
- Deep experience implementing complex pricing models: location-based rules, volume tiers, configuration-dependent pricing, discount matrices, and approval workflows.
- Strong command of the full Quote-to-Cash (QTC) process from opportunity through order fulfillment, billing, and revenue recognition.
Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of SQL and REST APIs in the context of CPQ configuration and integration.
- Hands-on experience architecting system integrations via APIs and middleware MuleSoft and/or Celigo experience is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with enterprise CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and their CPQ integration patterns.
- Experience with enterprise analytics and reporting tools; Sigma Computing experience a plus.
Business & Functional Skills
- Ability to gather, analyze, and translate complex business requirements into CPQ solution designs without being hand-held.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Comfortable presenting to Sales leadership and working-level operations teams on the same day.
- Excellent documentation skills: technical specifications, solution designs, user guides, and training materials.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel.
- Comfortably operating with ambiguity and making sound decisions with incomplete information.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- DealHub (preferred) CPQ hands-on configuration or implementation experience.
- Experience in the data center, colocation, telecommunications, or managed infrastructure industry understanding how complex infrastructure services are packaged, priced, and sold.
- DealHub, Salesforce CPQ, or related CPQ platform certification.
- Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to accelerate SDLC activities (e.g., requirements analysis, documentation, testing).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Prior experience in a techno-functional or solutions architect role that required bridging development, configuration, and business stakeholders.
