Position Title: Senior Director, GTM Effectiveness

Your role
Digital Realty is seeking a Senior Director, Go-To-Market Strategy & Acceleration to drive enterprise-level growth strategy and transformation across our global platform.
This role sits at the intersection of growth strategy, market intelligence, and advanced analytics, translating external market signals and internal data into actionable growth strategies. The Senior Director will apply outside-in, hypothesis-driven problem solving and leverage quantitative analysis, AI, and large-scale datasets to inform executive decision-making.
You will partner closely with senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Technology to shape strategic priorities and guide execution across a global platform serving hyperscale, enterprise, and network customers.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the development of enterprise growth strategies, including customer segmentation, vertical prioritization, and sales coverage models
- Conduct outside-in market analysis, including industry trends, competitive dynamics, and customer demand signals, to inform strategic direction
- Structure and test hypothesis-driven strategic questions and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for executive leadership
- Support long-range planning, investment prioritization, and strategic initiative development
- Develop data-backed perspectives on where to play and how to win across global markets
- Apply advanced quantitative analysis, statistical modeling, and AI/ML techniques to evaluate market opportunities and business performance
- Build analytical models to assess growth scenarios, pricing strategies, customer lifetime value, and market sizing
- Leverage large-scale internal and external datasets to generate insights on customer behavior, demand trends, and competitive positioning
- Develop repeatable analytical frameworks to support ongoing strategic decision-making
- Use Python and SQL to manipulate data, automate analyses, and enhance analytical rigor
- Partner with executive leadership to frame and evaluate complex, high-impact strategic decisions
- Translate analytical outputs into clear narratives and executive-ready insights
- Build business cases and financial models to support strategic investments
- Provide ongoing insight into performance trends, emerging risks, and growth opportunities
- Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning Strategy, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Technology
- Act as a connector between business strategy and data/analytics capabilities
- Influence stakeholders across a global, matrixed organization
- Mentor team members on structured problem solving, analytics, and strategic thinking

Experience
- 10+ years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or growth strategy within a global organization
- Demonstrated success solving complex, ambiguous business problems using structured, hypothesis-driven approaches
- Experience in technology, digital infrastructure, or other data-driven industries preferred
Technical & Quantitative Skills
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and modeling
- Experience with statistical analysis, forecasting, and applied machine learning techniques
- Ability to work with large, complex datasets to extract strategic insights
- Strong quantitative foundation with the ability to link analysis to business impact
Strategic & Business Capabilities
- Expertise in market analysis, competitive strategy, and growth planning
- Experience developing business cases, financial models, and investment theses
- Ability to synthesize diverse data sources into clear, compelling strategic narratives
- Executive presence with the ability to influence and advise senior leadership
Leadership & Communication
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing without direct authority
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Strong communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related STEM field
- Advanced degree required (Master’s or PhD) in a STEM discipline such as Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or similar

Our Compensation Philosophy
Digital Realty offers its employees a highly competitive compensation package, excellent benefits, and an environment that recognizes and rewards your contributions. Central to our compensation philosophy is rewarding our employees for achieving the values and objectives aligned to the company's overall goals and values.
Our published pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and geographical location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. Moreover, an employee’s total compensation package varies by role and may include salary, cash bonus or commissions, and equity awards not quantified below.
Compensation range : $200,000 to $250,000 per year. This compensation range represents the Company’s good faith belief as to what it will pay as a base salary for this position at the time of this posting.

Responsibilities
You will provide strategic oversight and leadership to one or more departments, ensuring effective planning, budgeting, and expense management.
