This executive role will be responsible for all revenue-generating processes within our organization. The CRO will play a pivotal role in our company's success by developing and executing strategies to optimize profitability, spearheading business development efforts, and ensuring a seamless handoff of projects to operations. This role requires a deep understanding of the construction industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving growth in competitive markets.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement comprehensive revenue strategies to drive profitable growth and meet or exceed company revenue targets.
2. Lead all business development efforts, including identifying new opportunities, pursuing potential leads, and securing contracts.
3. Collaborate closely with Estimating and Operations departments to ensure accurate project estimation and smooth handoff to operations.
4. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners to facilitate business growth.
5. Analyze market trends, identify potential threats and opportunities, and adjust strategies accordingly.
6. Oversee the negotiation and finalization of contracts, ensuring alignment with company goals and compliance with industry regulations.
7. Provide strategic guidance to the Executive Leadership team, contributing to overall company strategy and decision-making.
8. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and efficiency in all revenue-generating processes.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role, with a focus on revenue generation and business development in the construction industry.
2. Proven success leading revenue strategy and business development efforts for a construction company, contractor, or infrastructure-related organization.
3. Strong understanding of how construction work is developed, pursued, estimated, negotiated, awarded, and successfully handed off to operations.
4. Demonstrated experience partnering closely with Estimating, Operations, and Executive Leadership to drive profitable growth.
5. Track record of winning and growing business in complex, competitive, relationship-driven markets.
6. Experience in Hawaiʻi, island markets, or other logistically complex construction environments is strongly preferred.
7. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide team members towards achieving company goals.
8. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
9. Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
10. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management or related field. An MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred.
