This is an opportunity to join a dynamic, founder-led family business at a pivotal moment in its growth. Our client operates at the intersection of energy infrastructure, land development, and emerging technology. We are looking for a CFO with experience in capital markets, managing large scale asset sales and excellent stakeholder management expertise as the business is considering external investment. In terms of industry experience candidates must have experience as a CFO overseeing high value asset transactions and subsequent allocation of capital and debt restructuring post transaction.
The CFO will have the following responsibilities:
- Manage the deployment and structuring of significant cash proceeds from land deal closings.
- Lead the evaluation and execution of outside capital as the company considers institutional financing.
- Serve as the primary financial contact for banking institutions and capital markets partners.
- Build real-time dashboards and reporting frameworks to give leadership clear, current insight into financial position.
- Assess and improve legacy finance processes and systems across the business.
- Manage corporate bitcoin wallets and bitcoin-denominated transactions and donations.
- Manage and support the existing finance team (Controller, Tax/Treasury/Risk Director, and two Accountants) through the transition period.
- Work closely and directly with a visionary founder; translate complex financial realities into options and strategic recommendations.
Experience required:
- Proven CFO or senior finance leadership experience in a deal-intensive or capital-markets-driven environment.
- Hands-on capital markets experience with experience working with institutional investors, banks, or structured debt facilities.
- Ability to manage and allocate large, irregular cash flows from major transactions.
- Background in data center, solar, utility, or energy infrastructure sectors preferred.
- Familiarity with energy markets.
- Understanding of bitcoin or digital assets, personal or professional exposure to transacting in bitcoin is beneficial.
- Strong external stakeholder and relationship management skills.
- Highly adaptable, solutions-oriented mindset and able to present options whilst navigating ambiguity; rigid thinking will not be a cultural fit.
- Comfortable operating in evolving, non-linear business environments.
