About the Job
The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting and compliance, company audits and bank relationships. They will collaborate with the CEO and the executive team to make decisions regarding company's financial strategy and operations. The candidate will possess a strong background in finance and management. Prior banking and/or audit experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the bank's Asset Liability Management to ensure effective management of the balance sheet, interest rate risk and liquidity positions.
- Develop and implement financial management strategies, including capital planning, investment management, and cost control initiatives.
- Oversee liquidity management to ensure the bank maintains appropriate levels of liquid assets, manages cash flow effectively, and complies with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, providing recommendations for improving profitability, efficiency, and risk management.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute strategic plans, assessing the financial implications and aligning them with the bank's objectives.
- Serve as liaison to the bank's auditors.
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations in all financial functions
- Supervise all finance personnel (controllers, accountants, etc.)
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CFO or relevant role (banking experience is preferred)
- Strong finance-based analytical skills
- Experience in Asset Liability Management
- CPA or MBA preferred but not required
- In-depth knowledge of risk management and corporate finance
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software
