Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Assistant Chief Financial Officer (ACFO) to join our team and drive financial excellence across our organization. This role offers an opportunity to ensure regulatory compliance while supporting our mission to deliver impactful services. The ACFO will collaborate closely with senior leadership to optimize fiscal management and foster sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
· To assist the Chief Fiscal Officer at Crawford County Drug & Alcohol Executive Commission in keeping accurate financial records using a modified accrual basis of accounting.
· Prepare and maintain entries in the Accounts Receivable and invoice accordingly.
· Enter miscellaneous income and client fee payments in Cash Receipts.
· Prepare and process journal entries according to established procedures, verify accuracy of entries, and revise as needed.
· Maintain and post to the General Ledger.
· Prepare bank deposits and transport deposits and other transactions to the bank.
· Reconcile monthly bank statements.
· Develop and maintain various data spread sheets to assist with the budget process and monthly and year-end closings.
· Complete a monthly Cost Distribution report and Trial Balance using the fund accounting method.
· Submit various monthly and quarterly reports either to CFO or directly to requesting agency.
· Enter clients’ authorization for service into fiscal tracking database.
· Identify accuracy of treatment provider billings for payment and complete year-end audit of amount paid to providers.
· Gather and verify required data to prepare 1099 tax forms and filing to the IRS.
· Audit training section of fiscal staff’s personnel files to verify all copies of training certificates are completed each year.
· Collect and prepare data to assist with end-of-year financial audit.
· Maintain account numbers, projects, funding streams and budgets in financial system.
· Maintain employee payroll worksheet that provides report for employer’s annual pension payment based on pro rata share basis.
· Maintain current salary and benefit information to be used in various reports, both internally and in preparing quarterly state reports and to validate data produced in ECCA Payroll system.
· Supervise the billing process in the electronic health records.
· Maintain various funding streams and insurances in the electronic health records system.
· Submit quarterly directory validations to various health insurance companies and/or MCOs.
· Complete insurance revalidations for Medicaid, Managed Care Organizations, and other private health insurance.
Minimum Education/Training Requirements: BACHELOR’S Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field. 2 years of experience or more preferred.
Pay: $43,680.00 - $46,340.00 per year
