THE COMPANY
A market leader in Paint Finishing environments and services for the North American Aerospace, Refinishing and Industrial markets.
The CFO will be responsible for the overall financial management, strategic guidance, and operational effectiveness of the company. This role provides financial insight and leadership, ensures integrity and compliance in financial reporting, drives operational efficiency, and supports sustainable growth. The CFO will partner closely with the President, the executive team, and operational leaders to align financial strategy with business goals and company values including maximizing business unit potential and delivering above market top line growth and sustained improved of 10% EBITDA annually. The CFO will also oversee IT and have 3–4 direct reports
KEY OUTCOMES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic & Financial Leadership
- Partner with the President and senior leadership team to shape and execute long-term growth strategies.
- Align financial strategy with corporate objectives and stewardship values.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support investment decisions, acquisitions, and resource allocation.
- Lead the annual operating plan and forecast, ensuring strict budget discipline and strong return on invested capital.
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial reporting.
- Deliver timely, accurate, and compliant of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with disciplined KPI management.
- Ensure strong governance, compliance, and internal controls in line with the Company Code of Conduct.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and management dashboards to monitor financial and operational performance.
Operational & Process Excellence
- Apply 80/20 principles to focus resources on high-growth opportunities, streamline systems, and optimize working capital
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and internal controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Partner with operations to analyze product costing, margins, and profitability by customer, product line, and service offering.
- Manage working capital effectively, optimizing inventory, receivables, and payables.
Growth & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax and regulatory requirements.
- Lead risk management strategies, including insurance, credit policies, and capital investment evaluations.
- Safeguard company assets through robust internal controls and audit readiness
- Negotiate commercial contract terms and ensure sound financial controls.
- Evaluate, perform due diligence in partnership with the business development team at the company, and integrate acquisitions or new business opportunities.
Building Great Teams
- Develop a world-class, diverse, and engaged Finance and IT workforce with strong leadership and succession capabilities.
- Lead through leadership transition and organizational change.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CMA, MBA, or advanced degree strongly preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience, including manufacturing or industrial services, with proven results in revenue and profit growth.
- Strong financial acumen: modeling, business case development, KPI measurement, and commercial decision support.
- Demonstrated success in strategy and execution in both direct-line and matrixed organizations.
- Skilled in M&A, risk management, and ERP/business system optimization.
- Proven ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent while fostering a diverse and inclusive culture.
- Entrepreneurial, continuous improvement mindset with strong cultural awareness and global perspective.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence and collaborate across all levels.
- Acts with integrity and composure under pressure.
