Jennie Joiner with Forum Group PNW is partnering with a respected, mission-driven healthcare organization in Southern Oregon in the search for its next Chief Financial Officer.
For the right healthcare finance leader, this is an opportunity to do much more than oversee the numbers. The CFO will have a meaningful voice in the direction of a growing, multi-site organization that provides essential healthcare services to communities throughout Southern Oregon.
We are looking for a strategic, forward-thinking finance executive who can see beyond historical reporting, anticipate what is coming next, and give leadership the financial insight needed to make strong decisions. This person will partner closely with the CEO, Board, and operational leaders while building accountability, developing the finance team, and strengthening systems and processes for the future. This is not a behind-the-scenes CFO position. The successful candidate will be visible, collaborative, comfortable asking difficult questions, and equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves when needed. FQHC finance experience is required to be considered for this role.
What You’ll Lead
- Provide executive leadership across accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, treasury, compliance, and long-term financial planning
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, executive leadership team, and Board
- Translate financial information into meaningful insights that help leaders make informed operational and strategic decisions
- Oversee audits, internal controls, cash flow, financial governance, and regulatory compliance
- Provide financial leadership around revenue cycle, reimbursement, and organizational sustainability
- Develop and enhance dashboards, financial models, KPIs, and forecasting tools
- Strengthen collaboration and accountability across finance, billing, and operations
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team
- Oversee grant reporting, federal compliance, procurement policies, and related financial requirements
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and greater efficiency throughout the finance function
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA strongly preferred
- FQHC and/or nonprofit healthcare experience required
- 8+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
- Leadership experience at the CFO, VP of Finance, Director of Finance, or healthcare Controller level
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, reimbursement models, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning
- Experience presenting financial information to executive leadership and Boards
- Ability to develop teams while creating clear expectations and accountability
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across both financial and non-financial areas of the organization
- A proactive mindset with the ability to identify trends, anticipate challenges, and bring solutions forward
Why This Opportunity?
There is a strong mission behind the work, but the organization is equally serious about building the financial infrastructure and leadership needed for its next chapter.
They are looking for a CFO who understands that mission and financial discipline go hand in hand. Someone who can bring strategic thinking and accountability while still leading with emotional intelligence, collaboration, and an appreciation for the communities the organization serves.
For someone who wants their next CFO role to offer more than a title, this is an opportunity to have a genuine impact on both the organization and the people who depend on it.
