Job Description
We are looking for a visionary
Chief Financial Officer . you won't just be managing books; you will be architecting the financial frameworks for an entire ecosystem of high-growth startups.
From overseeing fund deployment and LP reporting to advising portfolio CEOs on unit economics and runway optimization, you will play a pivotal role in driving capital efficiency and investor readiness across our entire portfolio.
Fund & Portfolio Financial Management
- Oversee financial management of funds deployed across multiple portfolio startups
- Design and implement financial frameworks, controls, and reporting standards across the portfolio
- Monitor cash flow, burn rates, and runway for each portfolio company
- Lead fund accounting, LP reporting, and compliance with fund documentation
Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis
- Drive financial planning (FP&A) for the venture studio and individual portfolio companies
- Build and maintain financial models for portfolio businesses at various growth stages
- Advise startup leadership on financial strategy, pricing models, and unit economics
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and capital efficiency across ventures
Compliance, Legal & Risk Management
- Ensure statutory compliance for the studio entity and all portfolio companies (ROC, GST, TDS, FEMA, etc.)
- Oversee audits, tax planning, and regulatory filings
- Manage legal agreements, term sheets, shareholder agreements, and investment documentation
- Establish robust risk management frameworks across the portfolio
Education
- CA (Chartered Accountant) / CPA / MBA Finance from a reputed institution
- CFA or equivalent qualification is a plus
Experience
- 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Prior experience working with venture capital, PE funds, or a venture studio is highly preferred
- Demonstrated track record of managing finances for multiple business entities simultaneously
- Hands-on experience with startup fundraising, cap table structuring, and investor relations
Technical Skills
- Deep expertise in Indian financial regulations (Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI, Income Tax, GST)
- Strong knowledge of fund structures, DPIIT/SEBI AIF Category regulations
- Proficiency in financial modelling, valuation methods (DCF, comparables, precedents)
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, or equivalent)
