Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Role Objective
Build a scalable, investor-ready financial backbone that supports the company's next phase of growth while ensuring profitability, cash discipline, and strategic decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Growth Enablement
- Drive the company’s financial roadmap to support aggressive scale-up plans
- Partner with leadership on pricing strategy, margin improvement, and export profitability
- Act as a strategic business partner to the Managing Director and leadership team
Profitability & Cost Leadership
- Establish strong gross margin discipline through BOM control, contribution analysis, and profitability tracking
- Lead cost optimization initiatives across procurement, manufacturing, and logistics
- Improve operational efficiency and financial performance
Cash Flow & Working Capital Excellence
- Drive strong control over receivables, inventory management, and payables
- Improve cash conversion cycle and strengthen liquidity management
Systems, Controls & MIS
- Strengthen ERP capabilities to enable data-driven decision-making
- Implement real-time business dashboards, insightful MIS reporting, and department-wise profitability tracking
- Enhance financial visibility across functions
Investor Readiness & Fund Raising
- Prepare the organization for strategic investors, private equity participation, and debt structuring
- Build robust financial models, business plans, and valuation narratives
- Support future fundraising and expansion initiatives
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure strong financial governance and internal controls
- Oversee statutory compliance, tax planning, and audit readiness
- Maintain high standards of transparency and accountability
Ideal Candidate
- 12–20 years experience.
- Has scaled a company from ₹50 Cr →₹150 Cr+
- Strong expertise in business finance, strategic planning, and operational finance
- Commercially driven mindset with the ability to influence business outcomes
- Experience working closely with founders, leadership teams, investors, and lenders
