About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced and visionary Salesforce CPQ Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) solutions on the Salesforce platform at our Chennai office. You will serve as the technical authority for all CPQ-related initiatives — owning the end-to-end architecture, guiding implementation teams, and partnering with business stakeholders to transform complex pricing, quoting, and revenue operations into scalable, elegant Salesforce solutions.
The ideal candidate is a certified Salesforce professional with deep hands-on expertise in Salesforce CPQ (Steelbrick), a strong understanding of Revenue Cloud, Billing, and CLM, and the ability to bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution at an enterprise scale.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture and Solution Design
- Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of Salesforce CPQ solutions — product catalog, pricing engine, quoting workflows, approval processes, and order management
- Define technical architecture blueprints, solution design documents, and integration architecture for CPQ implementations
- Architect scalable, high-performance CPQ configurations — product rules, pricing rules, discount schedules, price waterfall, and advanced approvals
- Design multi-cloud Salesforce architectures integrating CPQ with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Revenue Cloud, Billing, and CLM
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall Salesforce platform experience
- 5+ years of dedicated, hands-on Salesforce CPQ (Steelbrick) architecture and implementation experience
- Deep expertise in CPQ core modules — Product Catalog, Bundle Configuration, Pricing and Discounting, Quote Templates, Approval Workflows, Order Management
- Strong proficiency in CPQ advanced features — Price Waterfall, Discount Schedules, Block Pricing, Contracted Pricing, MDQ (Multi-Dimensional Quoting), Amendments and Renewals
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Billing — invoice generation, payment processing, revenue recognition
- Strong Apex (OOP), SOQL, SOSL, LWC, Aura, Visualforce development skills
- Expertise in Salesforce integration patterns — REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi
- Deep knowledge of Salesforce data model, governor limits, and platform best practices
- Experience with CPQ Quote Templates using SBQQ custom actions, quote line editor customizations
- Proficiency in Salesforce DevOps — Salesforce DX, Git, Azure DevOps, Copado, Gearset, or Flosum
- Strong understanding of Revenue Operations (RevOps) — lead-to-cash, quote-to-cash, and order-to-revenue processes
- Hands-on experience with large-scale enterprise CPQ deployments (1000+ users, complex product catalogs)
