We are currently seeking a Revenue Operations Manager to work from our Calgary head office location or remotely if successful candidate resides outside of Calgary. Preference would be provided to Denver residents. This position serves as the operational backbone of the commercial organization, ensuring alignment and efficiency across Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success. This includes close collaboration with Finance and Supply Chain for accurate forecasting and resource allocation, as well as ownership of commercial proposal creation and price book management.Key Responsibilities
Cross-Departmental Support: Providing tools, data, and process optimization to enhance the effectiveness of Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success. Streamlining workflows and ensuring cohesive operation towards common goals.
Commercial Proposal Creation and Management: Taking ownership of the development and management of commercial proposals. This involves standardizing proposal formats, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information, and aligning proposals with customer requirements and company offerings.
Price Book Management: Overseeing the management of the price book to ensure pricing consistency across all sales channels. This includes regular updates to reflect market changes, cost fluctuations, and strategic pricing decisions.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Collecting and analyzing data from commercial activities to provide insights that guide strategic decisions. Ensuring all teams have access to relevant data for informed action.
Forecasting: Collaborating with Finance and Supply Chain for accurate product demand and revenue forecasting. Utilizing market trends, historical data, and sales pipeline information for predictions.
CRM and Infrastructure Management: Managing the CRM systems for optimization across departments. Implementing and maintaining necessary technology infrastructure for supporting commercial activities.
Process Improvement and Efficiency: Continuously evaluating and improving commercial processes for enhanced productivity and efficiency. Implementing best practices and leveraging technology.
Budget Management: Collaborating with Finance to manage budgets for commercial teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and optimal ROI.Required (Must Have)
Valued (Nice To Have)
- Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Marketing, or technically relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in revenue operations, account management, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of building and leading commercial or revenue focused operations.
- Strong understanding of commercial metrics and KPIs.
- Excellent ability to evaluate, design, implement, and manage commercial initiatives that deliver against stated sales goals
- Past experience utilizing CRM and other commercial tools for revenue and operational forecasting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in emissions reduction and environmental compliance, is highly desirable.
- Experience with digital or data related products and services.
- Knowledge of carbon economics and voluntary emissions markets.
- Familiarity with government policies and regulations related to methane emissions.
- Proven success in managing consultative sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
- Leadership experience and ability to inspire and guide a commercial team.
- Masters degree in Business Administrative or relevant field of study
