We are seeking an exceptional Senior Manager, Revenue Operations - Revenue Accounting to own the end-to-end revenue cycle, from deal structuring to financial close and reporting. This is not a traditional, journal-entry-focused accounting role. It is a strategic leadership position that bridges the gap between Finance, Sales Operations, Legal, and IT Systems, ensuring our revenue recognition practices are not just compliant, but a competitive business enabler.
You will be the architect of our revenue tech stack, the guardian of our ASC 606 compliance, and the operational backbone for our deal desk. If you are a builder who thrives on automating the complex and translating non-standard deals into precise financial outcomes, we want to talk to you.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Revenue Operations & Leadership
- Build and Lead: Scale and mentor a high-performing team managing billing, order-to-cash, revenue accounting, and collections. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and zero-defect accuracy.
- Operationalize the Deal Desk: Partner with Sales and Ops during the pre-close stage to advise on deal structure, pricing, and commercial terms, quantifying the revenue impact of non-standard concessions.
- Cross-Functional Bridge: Act as the single point of accountability between FP&A, Sales Ops, Product, and external auditors for all matters related to revenue and billing.
Technical Revenue Accounting & Compliance
- ASC 606/IFRS 15 Mastery: Own the end-to-end revenue recognition process under ASC 606. Draft and maintain all revenue accounting policies, SSP (Standalone Selling Price) studies, and technical memos for complex, multi-element arrangements.
- Month-End Close: Oversee the complete revenue close process, including reconciliations, deferred revenue waterfall schedules, contra-revenue analysis, and fluctuation reviews. Deliver accurate P&L data on a compressed timeline.
- Audit Leadership: Serve as the primary lead for external audit revenue walkthroughs and internal SOX controls testing related to the Quote-to-Cash cycle.
Systems, Automation & Scalability
- Architect the Quote-to-Cash Stack: Own the roadmap and optimization of our revenue tech ecosystem
- . You won’t just run the systems; you’ll re-engineer them for scale.
- Process Transformation: Ruthlessly eliminate manual reconciliations and spreadsheets. Design automated workflows for billing, revenue sub-ledger posting, and usage-based consumption models.
- Data Integrity: Ensure the upstream CRM data hygiene (product SKUs, pricing tables, contract objects) is translating accurately into downstream financial reporting.
Who You Are
You are a rare hybrid: technically obsessive about the nuances of ASC 606, yet operationally pragmatic and systems-savvy. You can write a 15-page technical memo on variable consideration, then turn around and configure a CPQ product rule to prevent revenue leakage.
- The Technical Authority: You have deep expertise in SaaS revenue recognition, including usage-based models, consumption billing, and SSP allocation methodologies.
- The Systems Thinker: You refuse to accept "because that's how we've always done it." You see manual Excel work as a process failure and can articulate a vision for a fully automated close.
- The Business Partner: You know how to say "no" to a non-compliant deal structure by crafting a creative alternative that still accelerates sales velocity.
