We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to provide executive financial leadership for a manufacturing organization in Independence, Kentucky. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a strategic and hands-on finance leader who can guide critical decisions, strengthen financial operations, and support business performance over the next several months. The role requires someone who can balance high-level planning with day-to-day execution while leading a small finance team and ensuring reliable reporting, cash management, and operational insight.
Responsibilities:
• Direct the company’s financial strategy and offer clear recommendations that support executive decision-making and long-range business goals.
• Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of five finance professionals, creating accountability and ensuring consistent execution across core finance activities.
• Manage cash flow planning, working capital oversight, and capital allocation to help maintain financial stability and support operational needs.
• Supervise month-end close activities and ensure the timely preparation of accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Deliver meaningful financial analysis and performance insights to leadership, identifying risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain strong control over financial reporting processes and help ensure compliance with internal standards and business requirements.
• Partner with operational leaders to connect financial priorities with manufacturing performance and broader organizational objectives.
• Provide practical leadership on finance-related business systems and support continuity during interim organizational needs.
• Proven experience serving in a senior financial leadership role such as CFO or equivalent executive finance position.
• Strong background in cash flow analysis, capital management, and overall financial planning within a business environment.
• Demonstrated success leading month-end close processes and producing accurate, timely financial reporting.
• Ability to combine strategic financial leadership with a hands-on approach to daily execution.
• Experience managing and developing small to mid-sized finance teams.
• Familiarity with business systems and the ability to support finance operations in a changing environment.
• Strong decision-making skills with the ability to communicate financial insights clearly to leadership.
• Manufacturing industry experience is highly preferred.
