Role Overview
MecSpot is seeking a highly motivated, analytical, and growth-oriented CFO Intern who is passionate about finance, business strategy, and startup operations.
This internship provides an opportunity to work directly with the company's leadership team and gain hands-on experience in financial planning, budgeting, cash flow management, business analysis, fundraising preparation, and strategic decision-making.
The selected candidate will play an important role in helping MecSpot build strong financial systems and support the company's growth journey.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Analysis
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial plans.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Analyze company performance and provide financial insights.
- Develop financial models to support business decisions.
Cash Flow Management
- Monitor company cash inflows and outflows.
- Assist in maintaining healthy cash flow operations.
- Track expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support working capital management activities.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare financial reports and management dashboards.
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records.
- Generate business performance reports and summaries.
- Support preparation of financial statements.
Business Strategy Support
- Work closely with leadership to evaluate business opportunities.
- Conduct financial and market research.
- Analyze profitability, growth trends, and operational performance.
- Provide data-driven recommendations for decision-making.
Compliance & Documentation
- Support accounting and finance documentation.
- Assist in maintaining compliance-related records.
- Coordinate with accountants, auditors, and financial consultants when required.
- Ensure proper financial record management.
Fundraising & Investor Readiness
- Assist in preparing investor presentations and financial projections.
- Support due diligence preparation activities.
- Participate in business valuation and fundraising discussions.
- Help maintain investor-related financial documentation.
Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies in financial processes.
- Recommend improvements and automation opportunities.
- Assist in implementing financial controls and reporting systems.
Required QualificationsEducational Background
- Currently pursuing or recently completed:
- B.Com
- M.Com
- BBA
- MBA (Finance)
- CA Inter / CA Articleship
- CMA
- ACCA
- Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals.
- Basic knowledge of financial statements.
- Understanding of budgeting and forecasting concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Ability to work with numbers, data, and reports.
