WHO WE ARE:

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
The CFO will serve as a core executive partner to the CEO during a pivotal growth phase and beyond, including the launch of the Blue Mountain mill and increasing operational and channel complexity. This leader is expected to bring strong financial and operational judgment, experience in food or agriculture-adjacent businesses, and the potential to grow into broader enterprise leadership over time.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES:
- Serve as the organization’s senior financial leader, providing strategic guidance to support long‑term growth, profitability, and enterprise value creation.
- Lead all finance functions, including FP&A, accounting, audit, tax, treasury, controls, and multi‑entity reporting.

- Lead capital strategy, including debt, equity, structured finance, and capital raising to support growth initiatives and new markets.
- Oversee complex financial operations, including cross‑border transactions, currency exposure, regulatory compliance, and enterprise risk management.
- Partner closely with commercial and operational leaders on pricing, margin optimization, contract structuring, cost management, yields, inventory, and S&OP.
- Support omnichannel growth across foodservice, retail, and direct‑to‑consumer (DTC) channels.
- Bring a working knowledge of NetSuite ERP, with the ability to oversee system effectiveness, reporting integrity, and alignment with business needs.
- Evaluate and support mergers, acquisitions, investments, and strategic initiatives.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high‑performing finance team capable of supporting an increasingly complex organization.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board on financial, strategic, and economic matters.
- Maintain a regular on‑site presence at company mills in Skagit County , WA, and Pendleton, OR, with time split as needed to support operations and leadership.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 10 years of senior financial leadership experience, including at least 5 years as a CFO or equivalent executive financial role.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred.

- Demonstrated experience leading capital strategy, including lender and investor relationships, debt and equity financings.
- Proven ability to lead in high‑growth, capital‑intensive, and operationally complex environments.
- Commercially oriented, with the ability to partner on pricing, margin optimization, and go‑to‑market decision‑making.
- Must be based in Washington State or Oregon, with a willingness to maintain a primary on‑site presence at either mill location and travel between facilities as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven success developing and executing financial strategies that drive profitable growth in agriculture, food processing, or scale manufacturing.
- Experience managing multi‑entity, cross‑border financial operations, including regulatory compliance and currency exposure.
- Advanced expertise in financial planning, forecasting, enterprise risk management, and performance analytics.
