About the Role
Go Free Agent is seeking a Chief Revenue Officer to unify sales, marketing, and customer success under one revenue-focused strategy. This role is exclusively open to current and former athletes.
As CRO, you will own every dollar of revenue the company generates. You will align go-to-market teams, optimize the customer lifecycle, and build the infrastructure for scalable growth. This is the ultimate leadership role for a former athlete who has mastered the game of business and is ready to own the scoreboard.
Responsibilities
- Own total company revenue across new business, expansion, and renewals
- Align sales, marketing, and customer success teams around shared revenue goals
- Design and optimize the full customer lifecycle from awareness through retention
- Build and implement go-to-market strategies for new products, markets, and segments
- Establish and track key performance indicators across all revenue-generating functions
- Lead strategic pricing, packaging, and deal structure decisions
- Serve as a member of the executive leadership team and report directly to the CEO
- Drive company culture, hiring standards, and talent development across revenue teams
Requirements
- STRICT REQUIREMENT: Must be a current or former athlete (collegiate, semi-pro, professional, or Olympic level)
- 10-20 years of progressive experience in sales, marketing, and/or revenue leadership
- Proven track record of scaling revenue from $5M to $50M+ ARR
- Experience leading cross-functional go-to-market teams (sales, marketing, CS)
- Deep understanding of SaaS metrics, unit economics, and growth modeling
- Board-level communication skills and investor relations experience preferred
- Exceptional leadership presence with the ability to recruit and retain top talent
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent strongly preferred
