Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, on-site role based in Charlotte, NC. The CFO will oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and long-term financial planning. This role will manage the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements and financial reporting for internal stakeholders, lenders, and investors. The CFO will design and maintain financial controls, policies, and processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and discipline in a growing, entrepreneurial setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include building financial models to evaluate acquisition opportunities, conducting financial due diligence, and supporting transaction execution. The CFO will partner closely with the operator to shape strategy, support operational decision-making, and drive value creation in the acquired business.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance, with demonstrated experience in corporate finance, capital structure, and cash flow management.
- Proficiency in Financial Planning, including budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, and long-range planning.
- Expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, with the ability to prepare, interpret, and present accurate and timely reports.
- Advanced Analytical Skills, including financial modeling, variance analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.
- Proven experience as a senior finance leader (e.g., CFO, VP of Finance, Controller) in a small to mid-sized company, private equity–backed business, or entrepreneurial environment.
- Knowledge of GAAP and experience with banking relationships, covenants, and lender or investor reporting.
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on, with a willingness to build processes, systems, and teams from the ground up.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with owners, investors, and operational leaders.
- High integrity, sound judgment, and a commitment to long-term value creation.
