This is not a traditional corporate CFO position. About the Companies:
The CFO will oversee and manage the financial operations of multiple businesses, including:
- A manufacturing company that designs, produces and sells unique specialty products sold throughout the United States and internationally.
- A distribution company with inventory management, purchasing, data entry and sales operations.
- A real estate company managing a portfolio of commercial and investment properties.

Responsibilities:
- Lead all financial operations across multiple companies and business entities.
- Oversee accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Maintain and manage all general ledger activities and chart of accounts structures.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for accounting firm.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics.
- Manage banking relationships, financing activities, and treasury functions.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory accounting.
- Coordinate with outside CPAs, tax professionals, attorneys, lenders, and advisors.
- Assist ownership with strategic planning and business growth initiatives.
- Manage financial controls, internal procedures, and risk management practices.
- Oversee financial aspects of commercial real estate, including billing tenants monthly, property performance analysis, and capital improvement planning.
- Provide operational support and leadership across departments when needed.
- Identify opportunities for increased efficiency, profitability, and organizational growth.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive financial management experience.
- Experience serving in a CFO, Controller, Director of Finance, or similar senior financial leadership role.
- Strong experience working within small to mid-sized privately held companies.
- Demonstrated experience with manufacturing, distribution, inventory management, and real estate operations.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop is required.
- Strong understanding of chart of accounts design and multi-entity accounting.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- CPA designation preferred but not required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
