Women’s Health Grampians (WHG) is seeking a skilled and values-driven Business Operations Manager to lead our organisational operations and support impactful work across the region.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role in an organisation committed to gender equality, prevention of violence against women, and improving health outcomes for women and gender diverse people.
About the role
Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Leadership Team, you will lead the effective and sustainable operation of WHG. You’ll oversee core business functions including:
- Finance and financial sustainability
- People & culture
- Governance, risk and compliance
- Systems, ICT and organisational infrastructure
You’ll ensure WHG has strong systems, processes, and capabilities to deliver high-quality programs and achieve strategic goals.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across the organisation
- Lead and support the Business Operations team
- Oversee financial management, reporting, budgeting, and compliance
- Manage the full employee lifecycle including workforce planning and employee relations
- Strengthen governance, risk management, and organisational policies
- Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and infrastructure
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and values-led workplace culture
About you
You are a collaborative and experienced operations leader with a strong commitment to social impact.
You will bring:
- Proven experience managing operations in a small–medium organisation (ideally regional)
- Strong financial management and compliance capability
- Experience across people & culture and organisational systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive organisational improvement
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to navigate complex issues with sound judgement and critical thinking
- A commitment to feminist principles, gender equity and inclusive practice

- Classification: SCHADS Award Level 8
- Superannuation: Super Guarantee + 2%
