Our client, a well-established and rapidly growing group of companies, is poised to hire a strategic and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join their leadership team.
In business for over fifty years with operations spanning several areas from industrial services to manufacturing, this role offers a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial finance leader to shape the future of a diverse organization.
Reporting to the ownership and executive team, the CFO will play a critical role in guiding the financial direction of a multi-entity organization. This role requires a leader who can operate at the executive level, while also making operational decisions and being comfortable with hands-on financial management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the overall financial strategy for a growing group of companies
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial reporting, and compliance
- Support acquisition integration, growth planning, and capital investment decisions
- Develop financial models, KPIs, and reporting structures to improve operational visibility
- Provide risk management oversight and ensure strong internal controls across entities
- Partner closely with ownership and senior leadership on strategic planning and business performance
- Manage relationships with financial institutions, external accountants, legal teams, and advisors
- Mentor and develop finance and administrative personnel while helping build scalable systems and processes
REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of experience in a senior financial leadership role such as CFO, VP Finance, or Controller within a complex or multi-entity organization
- CPA designation required (CA, CMA, or CGA considered)
- Strong understanding of operational finance, growth management, and strategic planning
- Experience supporting acquisitions, business integration, or organizational scaling is considered a strong asset
- Background in industrial, manufacturing, construction, engineering, or service-based sectors preferred
- High level of professionalism, discretion, adaptability, and business acumen with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and companies
