Operating in a fast-developing environment, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and reliability of the company's financial accounts. You will lead, structure and continuously improve the finance function, upholding rigorous compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal procedures. As a trusted strategic partner to senior leadership, you will also serve as the go-to technical authority on all accounting and financial matters.
Position & Scope Reporting directly to General Management, you will be a key member of the executive management team. You will oversee a team of 5 (general and accounts payable/receivable accounting). Your remit spans accounting, taxation, treasury management and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and structure the accounting function: Drive implementation of the chart of accounts and provide day-to-day leadership to the team across bookkeeping, account review and financial reporting (general, subsidiary and cost accounting).
- Ensure financial statement accuracy and compliance: Define and enforce accounting standards (French GAAP and, where applicable, IFRS). Produce the balance sheet, income statement, accompanying notes and year-end closing documentation.
- Manage tax and regulatory obligations: Calculate year-end provisions and corporate income tax, ensure adherence to all legal requirements, and maintain productive relationships with statutory auditors and tax authorities.
- Drive treasury and working capital performance: Monitor cash flows, deliver monthly treasury reports and proactively optimize working capital.
- Strengthen internal controls and procedures: Oversee the consistent application of accounting processes, and formalize or update the internal procedures manual as needed.
- Lead finance digitalization initiatives: Play an active role in modernizing financial information systems, including process integration and the potential upgrade or rollout of a new ERP.
- Oversee cost accounting: Manage industrial cost accounting, with particular focus on inventory variance tracking and analysis.
Candidate Profile You hold a Master's degree in Finance or Accounting (DSCG, Master CCA, or equivalent from a leading business school). You bring at least 5 years of experience in a senior accounting or audit role, ideally gained within an industrial — and preferably international — environment.
Experience & Skills
- Proven track record in senior accounting or financial management roles.
- Strong command of French GAAP; working knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
- Sound understanding of corporate law, taxation and employment regulations.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing accounting teams.
- Solid expertise in industrial cost accounting and inventory management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, financial software and advanced Excel skills.
